Marine Motorman Grade 2
Course Overview
This course is designed to meet emergency training requirements for the aviation industry personnel. Delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training course content.
Course Structure
Delegates will be given further training to enhance and complement their existing knowledge of the hazards encountered the course forms part of their ongoing emergency training programme.
Course Content
The syllabus focuses on:
l. Helicopter safety and escape – actions to be taken in the event of a helicopter emergency, including operation and use of Emergency Breathing Systems (EBS), Heeds System for Pilots and Crew
l. Fire fighting and self-rescue – operation of hand held portable fire extinguishers and use of respiratory protective equipment
l. Emergency first aid
l. Basic Survival training actions to be taken in dry evacuation to a liferaft from a helicopter landed on water. A wet boarding of a liferaft after evacuating a capsized and sunken helicopter
Prerequisites
Delegates must have an in-date medical certificate
Target Audience
Delegates who have attended a Basic Aviation Safety Induction and Emergency Training course and wish to maintain their current certification.
Certification
A Project Maritime Training Aviation HUET Training certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course.
Revalidation
Every four years.
